my rear hood seal was missing when i bought my truck and im tired of leafs falling in on my engine where can i get a new one ?

That happened to me, cept mine was just hanging there so I reglued it. No problems thus far.

 

You might be able to get some 1/2" thick foam weatherstripping with sticky on one side and put it on top of the cowl panel where the regular seal would be. Probably cheaper than the real part if cost is a concern.

 

I need to look, but I think I have an extra one from my 01 Ram Quadcab. It should fit. I'll check tonight when I get home. Don't know what it's worth, but the most I'd like is 50% of the dealer. Probably even less than that. Let me know what the dealer wants and I'll shhot you a fair price. Should be less than $10 shipping.

 

What did you use to reglue it on? I've tried twice and I can't get it to stay on for longer than a few months tops.
