I was surprised to learn today (I finally looked) that my truck has had the dreaded "death flash". The reason I'm surprised is because I bought the truck new and had never taken it into the dealer for anything. Apparently they flashed it before it was sold!

I'm going to look at the crank position sensor mod...at least it's free! Heck, I don't even know what I've been missing, I never had it!

Everytime I think someone could benefit from that link, I have to search for it since I'm not bright enough to save it somewhere myself. Now at least I'll know where it is.


EDIT: Actually, I finally put it in my favourites last night because I was getting tired of having to look it up all the time. Now I guess I can take it out of my favourites. That was a whole 10 hours.

 

All I saw in that link related to the mod was that it is NOT a simple mod and that they do NOT recommend. SEEMS simple enough. What could I expect? Better gas mileage? More HP? Pinging?
