I have the AEM digital/analog a/f gauge with a Bosch wideband o2 sensor. Drilled a hole for the bung in the Y pipe for my Eddy headers, buddy welded it for me. Wiring was pretty basic for mine. Had a connector that went to the o2 sensor and ground and power wires to an ignition switched source. Think I got power from my lighter or foglite switch. Cant remember which.
Mounted in the top position in my 3guage A pillar pod

I have a FAST wideband o2 as well that I will be mounting in the other bank of the ypipe. Prior I was also using the SMT6 and it got a/f from the stock narrow band o2. Narrow bands are not accurate WOT.

I went a little more low tech then RM Indy did, but it works for my needs. I have a Split Second ARM1 (Air/Fuel Ratio Meter). The ARM1 input is designed to not interfere with the operation and reading from the O2 sensor. This allows it to be used with the stock O2 sensor (or you can get SS's four wire EGO1 sensor). You just splice into the O2 wire, solder and heat shrink. I haven't taken any pictures of it installed in my truck yet, but it looks like this.

You can expect to pay about $300+ for the AEM a/f with w/b o2. Needs to be mounted in a pod/cup and is very accurate with a usuable range of 11.0:1-17:1 a/f
The Split second is about $140+ for the meter and about $210 with the w/b o2 included & doesnt require a pod for mounting. Usuable range of 12.5-17.0:1 though it is not marked on the meter.

IMHO, I would only use the Split Second on a naturally aspirated motor running 87oct or higher.

If your running E85 or other alternate fuels neither of these meters will have a large enough range to monitor your a/f ratio. Boosted applications running some form of injection to cool the charge may have issues. Meth/alch will greatly affect a/f ratio under boost.

Stoichemtric
87oct is around 14.7:1 af ratio
E85 is around 9.8:1
Ethanol is 9.1:1

Max power
87oct is around 12.85-13.0:1 naturally aspirated(split second led's for 12.5 & 13.2)
92-94oct running boost, shoot for 11.5-12.5:1 (below the split seconds range)
E85 is 8.1-9.1
Ethanol is 7.2:1

Yup, and that's me. Their meter ranges from 12.5:1 to 17.0:1. I shouldn't be outside that with my set-up. They aren't marked on the meter, but each LED is a value. As long as you know what each light is a value of, you know where your at. Granted, not as accurate as your digital readout, but like I said, works perfect for my needs.
