Default is this normal?

hey everyone!
i have put about 20,000 miles on my truck since I bought it and every time I check the oil it never moves, not evena a 1/4 of an
inch on the dipstick. I change my oil every 3k and check it twice a week and have never ever added oil to it between changes.
EVERY car and truck I have owned in my life has burned SOME oil, even if it was a 1/8 of a quart. this is weird to me. I run 30psi at idle and 50 psi on the highway at 65. Truck runs fine, sounds fine, and is used for work everyday. Not that I am complaining but
this is very strange to me( last work truck was a GM, leaked more than it burned!). Any ideas?

well don't go looking for trouble then, must have a really tight engine, maybe the prevous owner did some replacing of the rings or maybe a complete rebuild. Do you add any additives to your oil? Also what weight oil are you using? Lucky you i have to add a quart every week!

Like mattyge said, your engine might be really tight.
I know on my 3.9L, I've only noticed the oil level go down once since I bought it. That was when I also noticed there was a leak on the rear of the left valve cover. It healed itself (lost hardly any oil anyways), and happened about 6,000 miles after I bought it. I bought my truck with 86,000 miles, and its got almost 99,000 on it now. (Just so ya know, my truck seemed to of been well taken care of before I bought it, and I use 10W-30 Mobil Clean 5000 with a gray bottle of CD2 for additive).

Of course, GM says a "normal" engine can use up to 4 quarts of oil every 7,500 miles.

You have a Dodge, you are moving up in the world (especially from a GM product). I was always told that a quart every 3k was normal but knock on wood my truck hasn't burned any since I bought it. If it ain't broke don't fix it man.
