I HAVE A 98 SS/T WITH A KENNE BELL S/C AND I HAVE A PROBLEM WHEN IAM DRIVING AT AROUND 40 MPH THE ENIGINE STARTS TO SHAKE AND I HAVE TO GIVE IT SOME GAS FOR IT TO STOP BUT THEN IT DOES IT AT AORUND 50 MPH AND I HAVE TO DO THE SAME THING CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME??????????????

My 98 Ram does the same thing between 40-50 mph. If you have O/D, make sure it is off. With O/D on is when mine behaves like that.

Is it under load at that time? Could be torque converter flutter that you are feeling. Might be a good time for a new filter and tranny oil.

I agree, the bucking you feel is mostly likely the trans, not the engine. I put some Slick 50 trans treatment in mine and shortly after it went away.

I had the same problem in my 97 318. I thought it was my over drive or tranny going out. It took a long time to figure it out but it turned out to be a clogged fuel injector. I think it was the #8 injector (the last one on the rail). I had them all removed and cleaned. Once cleaned, never had the problem again.
