going today to buy backup lights any suggestions?
no offence but if your putting them under the rear bumper and useing them for going off roading then get the cheapist ones you can cuz chances are they wont be there for long
that and being so low they wont shine too far

where would suggest mounting them? i have no idea here, i dont have a rack or anything , this is the only place that comes to mind, i thought about that, they would probally get ripped off being there, any other suggestions ?? i heard someone in a post awhile ago talking about cutting two round holes in the bumper and getting some to put there, then we are talking whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa cutting into the bumpers( i dont think so) probally turn out ok if you did it right, any other alternatives?
I MOUNTED MINE TO EITHER SIDE OF MY REESE HITCH. IN DEEP MUD OR SNOW I COULD STILL BREAK THEM BUT THATS WHY IM USING CHEAP ONES.
ASK FOR LIGHT THEY DO PRETTY GOOD ,PROBABLY NOT AS GOOD AS HAVING THEM ON THE BACK OF A ROLL BAR OR HEADACHE RACK BUT IT WORKS

do you have a reciver hitch? if so you can mount them next to it and there somewhat protected. ive built bumpers with cutouts for lights in them but never done it to a stock one but if you take your time with it would probally look nice too dont know if anyone here has done it to a stocker thow yah there really isent too many options for you if u dont have a rack to put them on. under the bumber will work just dont put anything epencive there, use some cheap tractor lights with the rubber housing and if you can find some with a plastic/lexon lense then they will stand up to a lot more
i found that there are little bolts under the bumper that you can remove and not do anything to the truck. i figured ok i remove two bolts and replace it with lights that are bolting there anyway. no loss in structural integrety.. ok so some but really not much. anyway i found a pair of lights that actually fit into the holes perfectly. still have to run a ground wire for them but hey that's no big deal. gotta wait for the rain to stop.
oh and definetly hook them up to a switch. i picked up a three way switch to do it. so i can have them on with the back up lights (eventually it's a work in progress damn rain) and also have them on whenever i wanted to.
