Well that service plan is additional cost on radios. Standard warranty's are through manufacture. Its 1 year, but you have to send it to them, and unless its a nice radio, its usually not worth the time and effort. If you bought that plan on it, it was probably an extra 15 buks or so on that radio, than take it back and they'll probably give you a new one. A suggestion though, you might be able to get store credit by complaining about the poor performance of it, and therefore use it and upgrade to a better brand. You'll have many less problems. I know pioneer have some cheap radios that run 100-150 buks and have much better quality than say the dual. I usually don't by the warranty's on the radios, but ive had 2 alpines and 3 pioneers now and never had a problem with any of them. I still have 2 pioneers, one in the boat and a new one in the truck. Love them both. If ya have any questions though, let me know. Good luck!

take it back to best buy. i have a friend that works across the street from that best buy in London at future shop. they should just replace it. considering Dual is their house brand you shouldn't have any issues.

i know the futureshop and best buy warranties work the same, as long as you ahve the extended replacement plan youll be fine. and if they say no, get mad, theyll give it to you.

my older kenwood used to skip or just not play int he morning. it was ooold, came with the truck. bnought a new kenwood for about $350 (reg.$475) and i has never skipped, even in the dead of winter.

UPDATE!! W00T ok heres what happened went into bestbuy said it wasn't working and they let me upgrade it jsut like that. I was amazed at teh customer service. No problems whatsoever. I bought a Pioneer deck and it kicks some serious ***. Now the weak part are the speakers they are factory but i'm surprised at how good they are. Anyways the new deck is awesome. It reads the disk so fast, has lost of equalizers and cool animations plus it has a compass! i've always wanted the overhead one but this rocks! and of course it's super load, don't want to go too loud and blow the speakers though anyways that for your input and if it wasn't for you i wouldn't have gone in. So happy it worked out! oh tommorow i'll take a pic to show ya!

That is the one that I was looking at, or the next one up from that depending on funds...I am going to switch my gauges to white/blue and put some aftermarket ones in that will be blue, so I was liking the blue of the 6800...

oh lemme know how your guage swap goes. I was thinking about doing that too, if you have a link to the ones your thinking about that would be great.
