Im going to pick up my first ram after years of wanting one. its one of the 96 indy rams. I got a few questions tho. I am not a dodge guy, fords and chevs mostly, but you can never pass up a ram. First question....what kinda mods are there for this truck, power wise? Heads? intakes? headers? something thats not a supercharger or nitrous haha. also, what mods are good for longevity on this truck. im already planning a shift kit and 2 additional trans coolers, because automatics and me...dont really get along very well. last but not least, id like to find out what # my truck is out of the 1300 or so they made, how would i go about finding out?

 

You are in luck. There is a guy on here who has basically the same truck as you, here his website: www.rm-indy.com
The site is very detailed about what mods he did and how it helped his e/t's. His name is RM_Indy and if he doesn't post in this thread I would try PMing him.

As far as mods and stuff, check out the sticky called Dodge Ram FAQ at the top of this forum, it talks alot about problems and good mods for our trucks.

yea, he kinda went overboard...well, mines a daily driver, so i dont think going that agressive is gonna be good. but thanks for the headsup. The main thing iv been looking for and cant find, are heads. i really wanna get that compression up well above 9:1
