Yep. He even gives you some new bolts. He also gives you complete, very well written instructions. Takes an hour or so to do, and the results were immediately noticeable. Got very little, if any, increase in MPGs, but definitely improved throttle response, especially at highway speeds.

Well that's one more thing to do then. Truck could use a bit of a boost.

I would love to do this on my 3rd gen dakota. I am assuming your throttle body sits so the opening is looking at the hood, like a glass on a table?

The dakota is facing the radiator....it would take some fabbing, some sort of 90 degree elbow fab...

Looks easy for you guys though, and looks great under the hood.

Interesting on the Dakota, never looked under the hood of one before, and yes to your question monkey. I just ordered the same air cleaner as Silver. Should have it next week.

Question for everyone running this setup.

If its cool in the morning, and you give it gas, does the whooshing air sound you hear continue after you let off of the throttle (for a few seconds and then slowly taper off), or is that a vacuum leak?

Once its warmed up, or warmer outside, I step on the gas and as soon as I let off the sound stops quickly anddoes nottaper at all.

Thoughts?

That sound is normal during warm up. Once you get through the warmup cycle, it goes away.

I hated this mod, I went back to the factory air cleaner. You lose too much on the bottom end with this mod. Driveability > Cool Sound/ High RPM power.

I noticed no low end loss with this mod.

Neato. perhaps your highly modified intake system has something to do with that.
