I know this is probably a stupid question but how to i find out which motor i have a 318 or 360. I've been under the impression that it's a 318 but now that i think of it i dont really know i mean they both look the same from the outside. If somebody knows an easy way that be great thanks.

 

look on top of the radiator support an there is a decal that tell you your cid.5.2 or 5.9 spark plug gap etc. you should be able to listen to the motor an tell the differ

You can also cross reference the VIN by looking at the 8th digit.

Y = 5.2 / 318
Z = 5.9 / 360

Yah I use the VIN as it is usually more accurate than that sticker. My buddies truck was in an accident and they replaced that radiator support from another truck the same color with a 5.2 sticker.
