Default Leak Detection Pump

when i start my truck, im getting a squueking noise from my leak detection pump. can it be fixed or do i have to get another one. also can this cause starting problems? when i first try to start my truck i dont get any fuel to the fuel rail.

Leak detection pumps do not squeak(at least I haven't herd one), and no, it does not effect fuel flow.

it kinda sounds like a squeeky belt. put my ear up against it and its definately the pump.

get a new one. the lack of fuel in the rail is a check valve in the pump assembly. not sure if you can get a new one or not but there are a few out there that could be adapted... the downside is they are not cheep.

Leak detection pumps are emmissions related only. It has avalve that just opens and closes. A squeak would be very weird.
