Posi or not?
I remember reading somewhere that the indy trucks came with posi, but im leavin one leggers, and sometimes ill get that kick out when im gassin it, but for the most part its just the pass side tire thats doin the work. did they come with it? are my clutches just dead as a doornail?
Dealer I bought my Indy from spring of 96 had 3 on the lot. 2 had it and one didnt.
Pop the hood and check the sticker underneath by the hood latch mechanism. If you have it, it will clearly state, "Limited Slip Differential"
Mine came with it but after about 900 passes down the 1/4m it was starting to get weak so I replaced it with something beefier (Auburn HP LSD)

yeah the majority of the rams came with the factory CRAP-loc differential. I wouldnt doubt that you have it and it trashed.
If you like leaving 2 tracks there is only 2-3 choices.
Detroit locker
Auburn posi
or Detroits helical geared LSD
I would go with the Full detroit locker.

Also...newer trucks have a build sticker in the glove box...This will tell you gearing, traction, transmittion, as well as trim packages and the sort.
