Default Suspension Lift and Body Lift

I installed a 3 inch Skyjacker Suspension lift and I want to go a little higher. I have read where some people put a three inch body lift on top of the suspension lift. But, I also see where most places say that its a bad idea. I installed the suspension lift myself and the instructions said do not add a body lift, so I am confused. Safety is the most important thing. I don't do much off-roading, some but not a lot.

Thanks for the help
