Default RE: Straight Pipes

Straight pipes from the cat back suck, all there is to it. I had them on my truck. It is loud, which is probably what your going for, but it is way TO loud, its also a really nasty sound. It doesn't sound good AT ALL. Its a noisey crack/poping niose. Also, it really killed my power believe it or not, and my gas milage took the biggest hit when I was like this. As for doing it yourself, good luck unless you have a tube bender. My sugestion is to go to a muffler shop and get a Flowmaster of Magneflow muffler, they're the most popular. I did this with my truck and for custom bent duels, it was only $245. Only $245 though I know, it is quite a bit but they look great and sound really nice and loud, like a big burley truck should. Not nasty like the straight pipe
