Default Quick Question While truck is apart

Quick Question,

I want to put STOP Leak in my 97 Ram 1500, 5 Spd Manual, 4WD bad boy. I went underneath and saw two plugs on the tranny (a lower for draining and a side plug for fluid check??????). I pulled the plug on the side and it seems like oil, not tranny fluid. I have the slightest of tranny leaks and its bright red where it is leaking at, but where i am looking is more of a dirty color oil. Am i not looking in the right place? I'm confused...

Default RE: Quick Question While truck is apart

Could be a power steering leak. Looks just like ATF and sometimes is ATF, I run ATF for power steering. It could be dirty because it hardly ever gets changed.
