air bags

Default air bags

The fender, bumper, valance, headlight (and other assorted goodies) should be arriving tommorow for the boys 97, I am worried about him triggering the air bags while replacing these parts, how are they triggered, and how do you avoid doing so,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,is it just a matter of removing a fuse or what

Unplug the battery would do it I imagine. You can check the FSM downloadable in the merry christmas thread. I'm sure that has the procedure for disabeling the airbag while servicing them.

unplug the battery and drain the power from the PCM just as if you were resetting the PCM (unplug the battery and turn and hold the key on for i believe its 30 secs) will keep the airbags from deploying
