Here is a good link to get you started. Remember CB is also called 11 meter.

If you really want to reach out and touch people, most 10meter radios can be modded to run cb frequencies although it's illegal

Yeah....illegal.... Most of them I hear every day are illegal by government standards. I know of one for sure My point with the mount the single antenna on the passenger side was that it uses the ground plane of the truck to help it transmit marginally better to the left - and since oncoming traffic is to your left, it helps a little. I was told this by a good cb shop owner years ago. The center of the roof is optimum, but I needed more clearance so I mounted mine like you see. I have had no problems. Socha - have your swr's checked on your duals - if you have a problem you might need to ground the antennas. I have not ever had duals, so that's kinda out of my league....

My CB seems to pick up a lot of static from the fuel pump. Do you guys have to use any sort of noise filter on your setups?

No noise filter. If you are getting static noise from the fuel pump or something else in the truck, you need to put your cb ground wire to a better ground. I have mine attached to a sheetmetal screw I put in the truck frame and wirebrushed the paint from under it, so I know it has a good ground. I have my antenna bracket grounded the same way.
