Fuel Pump

OK guys i have a 97 ram sport with a 318 went to start it up and nothing kept trying and nothing let it sit for an hour nothing tapped on what looks like a sylanoid on top of the tank and it started ran for a day now same problem but it wont start at all..... do you think it's the pump (i hope not ) or is there a regulator or sylanoid or something else ???????? HELP PLEASE

I would try the relay first.
