Default weld vs clamps

hey yall, im gonna get a flowmaster 10 or 40 series muffler for christmas. Im just gonna use the sock pipes and dump it under the axle. i was wondering if there are any problems with using clamps to install it, or should i just go get it welded on. I want to keep the price down as much as possible and figured just clamping it on would be the cheapest, but if im gonna have problems, then i will pay to get it welded on.

i"ll weld it on for a case of beer. if you install it clamp it with some cheap clamps, you know like the 2.00 napa clamps. drive it to the muffler shop have them weld it, it will take them about 15 minutes including set up on there machine but they may charge you for an hour labor shou;dn't be more than 60 bucks or so

I've used clamps in the past with no problems.
I'm planning a complete new exhaust, and I'm going to use clamps. I want to be able to remove my y-pipe and cat, and run dual "race" mufflers at the track. I'm going to try "band clamps".
