would you think the engine is being overworked, cruising the highway like that for hours?

na, not at all. 2200 is good. i went 2 hours goin 90mph and I didnt seem to have a problem (which is like 145kph i guess, so figgure that was like 2800rpm)

thats why overdrive was invented.
