Couple of questions...
Hey guys new hear and new to dodges, i 4x4 alot ( in another rig ) but its not a dodge and dont know to much about dodges so i just got a couple of questions that i could use everyone opinions on....
First of ive been trying to find some stuff about the dodge d44s but cant find much! Was just wondering how strong they are and wat size tires do u think i could run for onroad use only? (as i have my other truck for offroad) I would like to run 38s or 39s, do u think the axle will hold or not?
I have also been trying to find a d60 to swap over, but i cant find alot of info on wut would be the best axle to use, if anyone has any opinions please share!
Thanks

RE: Couple of questions...
The 44s on our trucks are more or less the same as most others except ours have unit bearings, their weak point. With larger tires your going to chew through hubs. I wouldn't want to go above 37s with a D44 but some people do run up to 40s, they just break quite a bit, especially if they're locked.
A Dodge D60 would swap over pretty easy, but they're also Unit Bearing unfortunately. It'd be a hell of alot stronger though. Most D60s are gold, especially if they're high pinion king-pin, but since ours are unit bearing they're not to popular.
