Looks bad to me, but I'm not the expert. How's your oil consumption? You need one of the experts to weigh in. Or you could set yourself up to do the job, wait for a nice Saturday and go for it. It's not that difficult, but it is time consuming.

im having a lot of trouble seeing the picture because i'm stupid. you're looking for oil that kinda pools up, especially in the corners. using a mirror makes it easy to see in there. its normal to see a little bit of grunge from the pcv valve sucking crap up there.

it is a pretty easy fix. you have to unbolt a lot of crap and take it off. just stay organized and everything will go back with ease. like witchy says, its time consuming.

If theres a lot of wet oil anywhere you have a leak. You can have a brownish haze or discolor from the PCV, but any wet spots or really dark areas...plenums out.
