Some help please.
My friend has a 94 Ram 2WD with the 5.9 L in it. She currently is not driving it because it's messed up, Blowing black smoke, and overheating a lot, What could be the problem. I havent checked it out myself, But this is the girl that said she would sell me the truck for 500 bucks when it was in working order, If i can get it and have it be an easy fix, I am gonna jump on it. I can probably get it for 300 bucks not running right. What do yall think???
i have to look at it, i plan on looking this weekend, but I contacted her and she said she would let it go for 100 bucks, cause she needs to get rid of it, she says it acts like coolant is getting on the manifolds so i think the smoke is coming from the engine bay not the exhaust, so it could be as simple as a radiator hose. It's a good runner, What should I look for with problems?? I mean Im pretty good with checking all the main points, NYS inspection stuff and oil/coolant/tranny fluid, but i mean 100 bucks for a 94 dodge ram 2x4, wich could be a VERY FUN truck to drive even if I need to put a little money into it.
**** blue book pricing for fair condition is like 2100 bucks, so u can tell im gonna be gettin this truck, I just hope everything can go smoothly, Ill take that thing for 200 if she changes her mind on the 100 dollar mark lmao. Like i said, If i need to put 500-800 bucks into it to make it legal or nice, then hell, I can sell it for like 2500! I think im gonna jump on it. it's not everyday u see a 5.9 litter dodge ram for 100 bucks
