Default tires

I have a 97 ram with the stock alloy wheels I think they are 16x7 if I am not mistaken. What is a good tire that will fit on there? I have read that the 285/75/16 is a good size to go with, will I have any problems fitting these on my stock rims?

BFGs imo are only good for dirt roads and pavement. I'm not to impressed with them, I hear to many people that say they suck.

When I had then on my truck they pretty much sucked terribly on any kind of wet pavement......Granted they were getting close to the end of their life... I still didnt like them. I like the nitto terra grapplers for an a/t tire.

I am runnin the exact tire size your talkin about and have had no clearance issues . Handleing at higher speeds and taking hard curves kinda sucks .
Make sure your ball joints and all steering componets are in good shape too. Larger tires can do damage to old and wore out parts.
