Default Sport Headlight Question

I'm trying to track down a problem with the Low beamson a 2001 Ram 1500 Sport. Before they died they would flicker on and off while driving so it appears to be something in the wiring.

I did a search and found some answers on what to look for when the High beams (all four bulbs are new & light), Fog and Parking Lights all work but the Low beams don't. I removed thelower cover from the steering column and checked the purple wire w/white stripe in the white colored connector and it seemed to be tight in the connector. I'm assuming that since both Low beams don't work that there must be a problem between the single wire at the connector and the point where the two Low beam wires connect to that wire. Does this make sense, if so where is that tie point located.

Where else should I check if that's not the problem? Is that the only connector in the steering column?

Thanks Robert.

ps. Is there any place where I can find a headlight wiring diagram for this truck.

Have you installed a new headlight switch?
