Default 50 RPM increase when I let off of gas.

Hey just wondering if it is normal to have about a 50 PRM increase when i let off of the gas, in any gear. I dont notice it unless i look at my guage. Its only for a split second and then it goes back down, but i was just seeing if its normal or if i should be concerned..... My CEL came on the other day too so thats why i really started to pay attention to my guages, I dont have a code reader and i havent gone and got it checked yet. Fear ofit being somthing major hahaha, and of course just as you run up the credit cards for christmas. Curious as to if this is a common thing or somthing i should be concerned about. Thanks.

When i'm in overdrive, around 50mph - 70 mph, if i give it a bit of gas, it'll rev up a few hundred rpms, than drop down.. almost like lettin the clutch out a bit slow on a manual? Never understood that one.. Or if its supposed to be doing that. Don't think my last transmission did that.

Both of your problems there sound to me like your TPS (throttle positioning sensor). its located just under the Airbox on the drivers side of the intake. 2 hex screws and unhook the wiring and just plug a new one in and put the screws back in. When doing it take the + terminal off of your battery just to reset your computer and then put it back on when finished. Takes all of 5 mins and you can pick up a TPS at any auto parts store for cheap. I know thats not my problem though because I just replaced mine 2 weeks ago, and it solved my problem like yours Mine is a totally seperate problem. good luck.

When you hit the brake pedal, it causes your torque converter to unlock. Completely normal.
