Default Transmission Rebuild

I have a 97 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 5.2 I am planning on doing a transmission rebuild on it myself it is a a automatic. I've done manuals before, but never a auto. I'm pretty good mechanical wise on working on cars so I should be fine as long as I have a book that will tell me what to do? Does anyone know of where and what kind of book I can get for this. Any help would be appreciated.

I have purchased manuals from this guy. They ship pretty quick and are very detailed. You can email them with your specific info and they have the correct manual.

Good luck with your ride.

I always use the Dodge service manual for my year/make. I own one for each of my autos. Just call the toll free directory (18005551212) and ask for the Dodge service dep toll free #. The manual costs about $100, and includes all aspects of the auto.

I did my trans my self with the help of www.alldata.comyou have to pay $20 something for a year. I have a 1999 Dodge ram 2500 4x4 V-10 with the 47re trans and i put a trans-go shift kit.Took one hour and a half to get the trans outthree hoursto do the rebuild two hours going back in the truck. Like i always say if you want it done ok take it to a shop. But if u want it done best do it your self.
