Default Adjusting TV cable + Round Air Cleaner

Did anyone else experience different shifting points after they installed their fastman? I took a look at the TV cable and after reading and actually toying with it, it seems pretty impossible that I could have messed with it. I know I could adjust it to go back to what it was but I don't want to screw around with it incase I switch to the 50mm TB and its normal again. And I guess I now realize why the hypertechs and stuff don't adjust shift points since its done by that cable.

About the round air cleaners that are sweeping the forums, do you really think the different brands will make that much difference? I want to get one to try it out but don't feel like spending $70 for the Mopar Performance one, because if I don't like it, I'm $70 down. There are other cheap ones out there such as Mr. Gasket and Partsking (at least I think thats the brand) that are < $30. And also to install this, has anyone had to use a riser at all? I know glideman used a 1.5" and a smog fitting to attach the breathe hose to the air cleaner.

So if I were to try this out, I'd need (please add/remove incase I made a mistake):
Round air cleaner (what size exactly? I know its 14" in diameter but what about height? Does it really matter?)
S-Bolt (I guess I would have to make this myself?)
Wingnut
Smog Fitting or Breather for that hose on my driver side valve cover.

If you didn't use a riser, what did you do?

I've read Silver's post about his and the following replies so I think I've got the basics of this down.
