In 2008 Ford is coming out with a baby diesel for the F-150. It's going to be a 4 cylinder turbo. I would imagine Dodge would do something along the lines also. I can't wait I've been wondering why they have done it sooner.

Dodge is reported to be puting one in a 1500 somewhere around 09 ... mid-sized V8 IIRC. I want one SO bad.

There's a guy over on PS, (superhawk), who put a 12 valve CTD in his 96 1500 Ram.
Go over to PS and search for it, he's got a complete write up on everything he's done from the very begining to just recently.
