Default Leaking rear axle

Hi everybody and Merry Christmas to you all.

First I want to tell you I have now installed the sport headlights on my 99 RAM 2500 that had the single bulb headlights. I used the conversion headlight harness from suvlights.com and are very satisfied with it. It has 6 relays and comes with everything you need for the installation.
It is even wired for all 4 bulbs on low beam but can be changed to run only 2 for our annual inspection.

Now to my question for the day:
My rear axle is leaking oil into the drum brake on the right side. I have bought new seals and brake shoes.
Is there anything I should know before I start to dismantle the outer bearings to get to the seals?
Are there any special tools that I do not get by without?
Any advice would be appreciated

Thank you

Vegard

Default RE: Leaking rear axle

youre leaking diff fluid into your drum? ive changed mine before,i dont think the fluid can actually get into the drums. i could be wrong. I used a slide hammer to remove the bearings and seals.

theres a cylinder inside the rear drum that can leak brake fluid.
