used the intake polishing kit from east wood and a dremel . have almost 10 hrs. in it so far. very labor intense job.

I give you props.I've tried polishing **** on my car and I just don't have the patience for it. Its hard work and takes loads of time

Man, I had a performance problem years ago on a 5.0 Thunderbird and I did something similar.
I didn't put as much time in it, used lots of carb cleaner and a toothbrush so I only cleaned it real good (no polishing), and was satisfied with the performance increase (lots of black crap {I guess carbon soot} had built up over the years).

The labor of cleaning it I was ok with, and the time it took to remove and install was basically ok, too (thou borderline).
What got me was the pita of the removal / installation... So many delicate parts, injector and vacuum and electrical lines, any of which could've bent, kinked or cracked... And other silly plastic parts that could've busted, it was a LOT of work, if not so much the actual doing, but mentally it drained me.

And I swore I would never do that again lol.
But that's really nice, I'm pretty sure you'll feel the difference once it's back in the truck.

actually he won't feel or gain anything. thats on the outside so its just for looks
