WORKING ON NEW MOD
Man, I had a performance problem years ago on a 5.0 Thunderbird and I did something similar.
I didn't put as much time in it, used lots of carb cleaner and a toothbrush so I only cleaned it real good (no polishing), and was satisfied with the performance increase (lots of black crap {I guess carbon soot} had built up over the years).
The labor of cleaning it I was ok with, and the time it took to remove and install was basically ok, too (thou borderline).
What got me was the pita of the removal / installation... So many delicate parts, injector and vacuum and electrical lines, any of which could've bent, kinked or cracked... And other silly plastic parts that could've busted, it was a LOT of work, if not so much the actual doing, but mentally it drained me.
And I swore I would never do that again lol.
But that's really nice, I'm pretty sure you'll feel the difference once it's back in the truck.
