Is there an option available for an aftermarket distributor for the Magnum engine? I've looked at the MSD and Accel sites and nothing shows specific for our engines.

if you break down these distributors, all they are is a shaft and a spining steel window plate. all the electronics are in the pick up plate/ cam sensor. unless the window plate rivits come loose or the shaft seizes due to lack of lubrication you should never have a problem with it. this is why dist timing is controled by the pcm because it is only syncing the cam and crank timing. this is why there is no performance distributors out there.

Ther is heavy duty units areout there, I have one but can't remember where the heck I pick it up from. I think it was accel, both cap and rotor button have brass instead of the alumium or what everthat metalis.

The rotor cap, button, and chanpion truck plugshave been in the truck for over two years and still working fine.
