I don't think that allows you to "tune" on the fly. You really can't tune these PCMs, I'm not even sure how places like B&M do it.

Our pcm's have to be "flashed", or in other words the old programming erased, and a new program installed. There is no way that I have ever found to be able to tune or adjust them when you want, and nobody has ever made an aftermarket pcm that would allow you to do your own tuning. Thats how alot of the ricers do it, they have aftermarket pcm's. Although if you find something, I'm sure we'd all like to know about it!

There are lots of scan tool systems around though. The best looking one that I have seen is from www.nology.com. You can run theirs on a laptop, or a pda, like one of these new smartphones, which is what I'm gonna be doing in the next few months. It'll give ya the ability to read and clear DTC's, as well as have a hand held Dyno, giving you horsepower/torque/mpg and other stuff.

I know of a company that sells blank PCMs and software to program them and adjust them. Of course programing them in a pain in the *** and they would have to do it with your truck there. It would also cost a TON of money since they do more develupment buisness for large companies. Once all said and done though you can adjust it through a laptop and their software. I spent 4 days with them at their HQ learning their software and some other basics, it was pretty cool.
