Default leaking steering stabilizer

i just noticed that my steering stabilizer (shock) is leaking, its a skyjacker one that i got about less than a year ago at summit racing, its not dented or punctured i think its leaking at the seal? where the rod is,question is whats the worst that can happen if i don't replace this right away?leaking pretty good what caused this? ,dirt buildup? , it has no boot on it, thanks . Also what other brand would you guys recommend if this skyjacker is not a good one?

I believe some people took them off. If it's just on the street, you may not notice much difference. My Skyjacker has been fine (knock on wood). I don't know if they make them anymore but before that I had a Black Diamond and it was ok.

Don't sweat the messed up stab. Take it off and work with Summit or Skyjacker to get a replacement (they'll probably want you to send in the ef'ed up one first soit can be inspected). I've been driving without one for over a year with no ill effects. Bear in mind ... I don't go off road.
