Default transmission issues

hey everyone.. havent been around in a while, and thought i would see what some peoples opinions are tonight.
i have a 2000 dodge ram 1500 4x4 with a 5.9. and once again i am having transmission issues. it doesnt feel like its slipping. but it acts like it doesnt want to change gear. but has no problem accelerating..i know that sounds like a strange description. but anyway the code that comes off for it is P0753 which is shift solenoid A.
but my other question is.. anywhere that i look to see if i can get some information on this they dont tell you where you can see a good diagram of the transmission, or even where anything is located. like they automatically want you to take it to some rip off trasmission repair guy. and i really dont want to take it to another one because i keep getting ripped off because i dont have ***** and a winki between my legs.
so in any case.. if anyone know where i can get a detailed book, diagram, or if anyone knows anyone that would be willing to email me on this. that would be outstanding because im at a loss now.
shes an old girl with 167k miles on it. and im hoping to keep her around a while longer.
thank you everyone.
please feel free to contact meon here or via email~ daisydeadpeddles@yahoo.com.
thanks everyone.

i had a chilitons manual for a nissan hardbody i used to have and it showed detailed breakdown diagrams of the tranny, alternator and almost every imaginable part that could be taken apart. the best manual i ever had. i think you can buy them online, i havnt seen them in parts stores around here i know autozone only sells haynes manuals and they arent worth a dog turd. but i would check chiltons.
good luck.

go to auto zone buy 7 quarts of atf 4, newtrans filter and a bottle of trans X made by K&W. your problem is the large rubber o-ring type seal that has lost its sealing power. the trans x will fix it. I was going to adjust my bands till a ammco mechanic showed me a band from a 46re...their is no practical adjustment availible. no material to wear. seriously try this. It fixed mine trying to hold on to second gear too long.
