I don't know, he was prolly being lazy, but I got the new belt on their without my a/c but I still got the screeching noise. It comes and it goes... I think maybe my power steering pump is bad. But it doesn't affect the way the truck drives....idk its driving me insane, its not a bad noise, just really really annoying....any ideas?

I got the right belt now. My A/C is bypassed and i checked all the fluids on my truck, everything is full. I checked my alternator and tension pulley. Both are fine, however I have not checked the others. The noise its making is a screeching noise like my power steering is bad. But I have no difficulty driving so im not sure wtf it is

i would think that you would feel it in your steering if it was the power steering. never had a problem with mine though, so i dont know what its like or what to compare it to.

My PS pump went bad last month. It didn't make any odd noises but the power assist when turning the steering wheel got very weak especially at low speeds.
