abs light
i bought a 1998 dodge 4x4 and it has a 5 1/2 superlift kit on it and 35 in tires, now the the abs light, brake light will come on ramdomly after you start the truck. it will not just come on when you start it you have to drive it before it will come on. it will not come on when you hit the brakeeither you can hit the brakes as hard as you want. it just comes on when it wants to, normally any where from a min too two min of driving time before it will come on.
so i was wondering if the oversize tires has anything to do with it, if it does what can i do to make it stop coming on it dives me nuts having those two lights on all the time.
o by the way, it is not cause the brake fluid is low cause i have checked it and it full and all the fuses are good inside and under the hood for the abs.
please any help would be greatly helpful i can not stand those lights on.

it may, you need to find out what the code is. it could be a sensor going bad or the change in tire size may have done it. you shouldhave the abs "pinion factor" set for you 35's. this will get your speedo close to right and abs tells the engine controler vehicle speed to determine shift points. i dont belive any aftermarket scan tools can do this, a dealer will have to do it.
