2-3 Shift question
What would cause a delayed shift from 2-3 but not affect any other shift points?
The reason I ask is because my transmission up until a couple of weeks ago has been shifting fine. I changed the fluid out last night and putanew filter in. The bands were adjusted less than 5k ago by myself. Not every time, but quite often it seems to stick in 2nd gear and is sluggish to shift to 3rd. I notice this more than anything going up hills, I almost have to let all the way off the throttle (decelerate) to get it to shift into 3rd, otherwise it will hold 2nd even when I stopaccelerating (just holding say 40mph).
Otherwise, the shifts are nice, smooth, and consistent.
Thanks
Jerrod

could be the bands are worn and are slipping. not saying that you did something wrong in adjusting them but that could be the cause.. try some lucas stop slip stuff (got it at autozone) seems to have helpeda little with my slipping transmission
