Seatbelt Light Stays On

Seatbelt Light Stays On
99 Dodge Ram Quad Cab
For 3 days now the Seat Belt Light stays on all the time. I have checked the fuse and everything looks good. Have played with the seatbelt itself by just plugging it in and unplugging it. Done the same thing to the passenger side.. just in case.
What else could be the issue? Nothing else seems to be effected.
Not sure if this matters, but it has been 20 degrees recently at night and even freezes water left inside. This occured after the 3rd day of the freeze.[/align]

RE: Seatbelt Light Stays On
i know that in my '95 it has nothing to do with the seatbealt being plugged in or not, it's just a reminder when it's started mine goes off even when the seatbelt isn't plugged in. There must be a switch or sumthing the turns the light off, maybe in the computer

RE: Seatbelt Light Stays On
look under the drivers seat.. you will see a plug that comes from the seatbelt and goes into the harness on the drivers side.. might have shoved something under it and knocked it outta whack.. or could be just unplug it and clean it up a bit then plug it back in..

RE: Seatbelt Light Stays On
I'm not sure what fixed mine, I just started the truck yesturday and the light never came back on. Perhaps it was the plug underneith my seat and something jarred it back into position. I'll check it when I can and let you know if it was loose or anything like that. I hope it is something like that, which would make sense.
OR perhaps it was the "Self Fixing" robot that I installed last month. It just took a while to fix the issue
