Harsh exhaust Tone

Ok I have a 2000 Ram with the 360 auto. I have real duals from the mainifold back turned out behind drvs and psngers rear tires. I have no cats through 40 flowmasters. The tips are smaller than the pipe. Do u think thiscould be causing the obnoxious, harsh noise i get. Thanks for any advice
