3" Lift on 2001 2wd ram1500?
So i am planning on doing a 3" lift in a few months. I was just wanting to get imput. I am planning on getting this package ( http://www.marketworks.com/storefron...amp;i=70221096 )pluse 2 more shocks for the rear as i rather have new shocks in the front as well as the back.. I was at first going to just do spacers in the front an add a leaf spring in the back, but this kit intrests me. Is this a good idea?
Also i am planning on replaceing the ball joints while doing this. They sound like crap at the momment. I wanted to know what it takes to take the stock ball joints off. My manual says nothing of replaceing them just of checking them. A friend of mine said there not to bad its just getting them off thats a pain.
Yeah an so what if its only 2WD i'm bored an need somthing to do to it an it looks cool.

Looks like an ok kit and everything is there. Deffinet good idea to do ball joints, they are not to bad to do. You can barrow a ball joint press with a $100.00 deposit at autozone wich makes the job go alot easier. Cool thing is they give it back to you when you return the press. Don't forget to mesuer your pinion angle on the rear drive shaft a 1" lift shouldn't bother itbut I didn't see shims in that kit, might be something you want to ask about. If ball joints are bad look at tie rod ends swaybar bushings and the trackbar which is a comman issue with dodge. You'll want that whole front end to be tight, so when you lift it it doesn't get squirelly.
