Default RE: front end clunck

Is it one clunk, when does it happen most, fast slow, turning, what kind of truck, 2 or 4 wheel drive? ball joints can sound like that and the only real way to test is to jack up the truck slide a pry bar under the wheel and lift up and down, if you feel excesive play or can see the joint move up and down then its bad. Swaybar endlinks can do that, swaybar bushings on the frame can do that espesially if you feel it on the floor boards, shock mounts, tie rod ends, wheel joints, bearings, axles, ujoints. Please be more specific.
