Anti Theft / Kill Switch or other Suggestions
Hi There guys,
Some bastard tried to rip off my truck last night, I wish I would have caught him [sm=shootshoot.gif] [sm=violent053.gif]
well there was some damage to the side of the keyhole on the door handle, luckily the factory alarm went off and no other damage was done.
I really don't want to install an after market alarm because I hear that it clashes with factory installed setups. [&:]
does anyone know how to install a fuel pump cut off switch ? or possibly other type of cut off switches? which would be the wires to the fuel pump from under the dash or how would I go by doing something like that?

well.. to install any kind of cut off switch on any system.. basically find the 12V supply (switched or constant) and interupt that with your switch..and mount in an inconspicous (holy crap sp?) spot where you would only think to check..
fuel pump,, or power to the ignition coil would be the 2 best..
and aftermarket alarms really dont "clash" with any kind of factory anti theft.. IF installed properly.

easiest kill switch to wire would be this... under the dash.. use a test light and test the wires to the MAIN harness going to the ignition switch.. find the ignition wire.. (only one that lights up when the key is in the START position.. then turns off when you let go of the key... cut it.. and put your switch in there.. mount the switch under the dash.. in the ashtray.. hell i put one in for a guy that i drilled a hole in the front fender.. and he had a "soda machine key" he had to turn it on and off with that to enable the starter.. its the easiest starter disable there is.. and alot easier and can all be done right there in the dash.
