cam
ok ive got a 98 dodge ram 2wd ext. cab w/ 318/auto, and am wanting to put a cam in it.
heres the specs:
duration @ .050" int./exh. 218/228
lift int./exh. 441"/441"
and i plan on gettin a new set of lifters to match it..
all im really looking for is a mild street cam wtih a lil lope when it idles. so how do you think this one will work???
thanks for yalls time.

Cam selection is one of the most difficult and critical decisions to make. The magnum heads don't flow the best, so you need to choose a cam that has a little more lift on the exhaust side vs the intake, same goes for the duration. The cam needs to compliment other mods as well. If you are going to retain a stock motor, a cam swap would not be the best thing to do. This is just my opinion.
