Default Front Pump Seal

I have a problem with mine and I have seen many other people ask about this here, but no one has replied. Has anyone here ever replaced itr before??? Or is it just one of those things a tranny specialist has to do???

Please if anyone has had work done on their seal or replaced one, you would be helping a few people here.

Front pump seal is a 6 hour job for a mechanic that knows what he is doin. A friend and I started to do it once and decided against it after 2 hours. Big job. It's gunna cost $$$ for someone else to do but that is better than you doin it and doin something wrong and risk further damage. Just my .02

Default RE: Front Pump Seal

I did mine last year. It took me and a buddy the better part of a weekend. Tight quarters on the V10, pain in the a. We got it done, but without doing it before, we wasted a lot of time figuring things out. I put it in the same category as body work. If you don't do it all the time, its going to take time to fart with it to get it right. If you have the time and patience, go for it. If not, pay someone. If I had it to do again, I'd shell out the bucks and have someone do it. It would be well worth it.
