They may be fast as hell - but just wait until you are riding next to your old truck or one like it on the highway and you feel like a little bug about to get squished by a size 11 boot.........
I can't even stand driving my daughter's Camry to work - too small. I like to be the "Intimidator" not the "Intimidatee"........
A buddy at work has the new civic si - it's fast but no way could I own one for the size reason

Do yourself a favor........Keep your truck and go buy a POS Civic for a few hundred dollars. You'll have the best of both worlds!
You'd be better off finding a mid-80's turbo dodge......Waaaay faster than any Honduh!

I can understand the situation you're in. I made the same choice two years ago. I had a great truck in my Dakota &I absolutely loved it. In fact, if not for the fact gas went up over $3 was I really even considering getting rid of it.
But, I did. It was a hard choice and while I made it, I still miss my Dakota. I liked sitting up high and riding a low profile despite it.
If you're going to consider a car....I'd look into a Stratus R/T coupe....200hp/200ftlbs of torque, you can get a decent one for under 12k....and they're good on gas. It's got enough power under the hood, a sharp look, and it's roomy.
Or maybe try and swing a Chrysler 300M. I've seen several 03 & a couple 04 models going for around 14-15k.....the 300M Special was the highest HP motor in a sedan for Chrysler for like 20 years until the Hemi in the LX cars....
I couldnt find a good enough deal on my Stratus during trade in to get back into a Dodge.....otherwise I would be....

[sm=jawdrop.gif] man I cant believe it! you should keep the ram & buy a smaller car as a commuter... when I had the 2000 I had the M3 to run around it and still got reasonable mileage (20~21). like it was suggested, find something that is cheep and keep the ram...
I almost sold mine a couple weeks ago and got a 350z...but I jst couldnt force myself to...its too fun and in the winter my truck is so nice to have...im going to buy a street bike and keep the ram. Are you looking into getting any other 4x4?
