Emblem upgrade. I know this posted awhile back, but I cant seem to find it. I want to put 3rd Gen emblems on my 2nd Gen truck. Tail gate was clean when I bought it so all I need to do is Doors. Can anyone tell me how to get them off without muckin up my truck?

Thanks Tommy

he's talkin about the ram 1500 emblem, best bet is to heat it up so that the adhesive tape is soft and it will release easier

ohhhh. i get it now. i heard that you can use a heat gun on it and take some dental floss and try to skim it off. ive seen people do it with a razor without any problems but i wouldnt put a razor to my own paint

yeah just get a heat gun if you have one, if not a hair dryer i guess, heat it up and if your lucky it may just pull right off, but you have to be careful because it will sometimes take the paint with it, so try that other guys dental floss idea cause that sounds pretty good, then just clean the rest of the adhesive tape off and your set

OK. They are removed. Pain in the ****, and sore thumbs to boot. Dental floss was hard to pull through the tape. Just heated up and rolled it off.

For future reference, fishing line wrapped around your hands with gloves on works much better than dental floss.
