i want to get my "bands" adjusted and dont want to do it myself as ive always been warry of trans work. so i called a shop and they said there are no bands and that its all electronic? can someone clarify this for me?

There are band adjustments...I am in the middle of trying to do it myself at the moment.

Band adjustment is really pretty easy. There's two and one of them doesn't even require a pan removal. You'll need an INCH pound torque wrench though.

 

how you gonna leave me hanging like that....i thought the pan had to be dropped?

 

You do have to drop the pan for the reverse/low band adjustment. The other one is on the drivers side of the tranny.
