what size glassback?
the cheapest, easiest fix would be to buy a glasspack that matches the stock diameter of your exhuast now (most likely 2.5"). that's what i'm going to do, at the moment i haven't installed mine yet as auto zone only seems to carry 2.5" to 2.25" mufflers. and i don't want to step down in size.
I got mine at Advanced Auto - they are 2.5 inlets and 2.5 outlets. Your concern here is going to be length. Usually, glasspacks come in 12, 18, and (like mine) 24 inch versions. The length does effect the sound and backpressure (longer is louder, but has more back pressure and likes to pop a little when decelerating if you are in a low gear).
I would just measure your muffler'slengthnow and buy one that is atleast that long.
If, for instance, your muffler were only 13" long, you should go ahead and buy an 18" glasspack. It is much easier to cut off the extra 5" of exhaust pipe than to have to add even an inch more.

i don't have an advance auto in my town and they're my favorite store. every auto zone just seems to look at me stupid when i ask for a 2.5" glasspack. maybe i have to check out napa, good quality parts but boy are they expensive ( 20 bucks for a greasable u-joint and a 3 dollar wheel stud?)
