Time to choose new tire's
Had the Toyo a/t's on and had problems with the side walls cracking. Toyo took care of them(props) and gave me a refund. Said they were having trouble with them. This was about a year ago. Would think they have gotten it fixed by now.
I previously had the BFG ATs. They were great for occasional off roading, and well behaved on the road. But the time came for a new set recently, and I wanted to try something a little different than everybody else. I went with Cooper S/Ts. There are more aggresive that all-terains, but not quite as meaty as mud-terrains. I've had them for a couple of thousand miles, and like them every bit as much as the BFGs. Not to mention they were a little cheaper!! 285/75-16 was about $145 each.
The BFG AT's are a good all around tire. Doesn't excel in any one area but not bad and wear like iron. Keep them rotated and you'll get a LOT of miles out of them. I've got over 35K on mine and they've still got over half the tread left on them.
... just a little skittish on wet pavement ... that's why I use Hi-lock when it's raining.
